If you play your cards right, it is possible to earn enough money through the Internet to support yourself while traveling or living abroad.

In January 2007, I began to teach myself how to use WordPress in advance of a trip around the world.  I learned effective writing techniques for an online audience, link building strategies, online marketing tactics, how to leverage social media to build traffic, and most importantly, effective ways to monetize your blog once traffic begins to roll in.

As a result, I was able to grow my online income 250% from 2007 to 2008, and the upward trend has continued in 2009.

I traveled to 22 countries over 20 months, and I’m hungry for more.  This time around, instead of working hard at an office job for years in advance to save the money, I want to build a self-sustaining income from blogs and websites so I can have the option to live and work abroad whenever I choose.   Along the way, I will share my monthly earnings, plus the best advice I come across.

To quote National Geographic “dream it, plan it, do it.”

Well while will you travel around the world you should definitely stop in Slovakia, especially in Liptov region. You will find great stuff there. Hot springs, great skiing in summer and hiking in winter. And lots of mom-and-pop’s places to stay in.

Slovakia is certainly a country I hadn’t thought of, though I’ve heard good things about Bratislava. I definitely hope to spend a little time exploring Eastern Europe.

    Hi Dave
I’m also on the mission to earn income over the web – while travelling. I’m trying other avenues though, my blog is just for interest and research really…
    Good luck with it all….
